About Chef Frankie Vazquez

As much as Chef Frankie loves being in the kitchen, his inspiration comes from exploring his local culinary landscape. His craft has evolved from region to region, infusing techniques from his Caribbean roots along the way — taking his Executive Chef career from Puerto Rico to Florida, Tennessee, and now, Texas. At Fleming’s in Houston, Chef Frankie surprises his Guests by mixing culinary arts with charismatic creative strategy. Sometimes that means deconstructing a dish and putting it back together with Caribbean flair, much like how his mother and grandmother taught him. Other times, it means doing his favorite kind of research — passing by his Guests’ tables and hearing which dish put the biggest smile on their faces.
