Chef Yaseen’s culinary journey began in Chicago and took shape when he moved to Memphis to pursue his first sous chef role, using every extra dollar to fuel his craft through practice and experimentation. A graduate of College of DuPage, he credits his true education to the hands-on experience gained in kitchens throughout his 13+ years in the industry. Yaseen’s culinary philosophy is rooted in seasonality, freshness, and global influence—shaped by personal experiences, a love of dining out, and a drive to constantly learn and innovate. His proudest creations often originate from the meals he taught himself to make while growing up independently, with each dish reflecting his current culinary obsessions and deep respect for quality ingredients. Yaseen strives to lead by example—creating a welcoming, professional kitchen culture where his team feels valued and motivated. His leadership is vocal, hands-on, and focused on development, aiming to inspire each team member to grow and succeed.
