About Chef Christopher Citro
Chef Christopher’s culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen, where he learned to cook with care, patience, and purpose. Inspired by those early experiences, he pursued a formal education at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. Specializing in classical French technique and Italian cooking, Christopher takes pride in showcasing his family recipes that have been passed down through generations. He values simplicity and execution, believing that great food comes from mastering foundational techniques and honoring tradition. With over 28 years in the industry and more than seven at Fleming’s, Chef Christopher leads with compassion, humility, and a commitment to growth. He strives to be a teacher first, always encouraging his team to learn from one another and elevate their craft. For Christopher, a memorable Guest experience is built on personal touches: remembering milestones, offering table visits, and delivering thoughtful hospitality. He stays inspired by dining out, watching cooking shows, and staying true to what works best within the steakhouse setting. His favorite menu items—the USDA Prime Bone-In Ribeye and the unique Carrot Cake—reflect his passion for bold flavors and comforting classics. Whether he’s mentoring his staff or celebrating with Guests, Chef Christopher brings warmth, discipline, and a love for the culinary arts to every plate served in the Chef’s Signature Series.
