About Chef Shawn Haugh
Chef Shawn Haugh's passion for cooking began in his grandmother's kitchen, where he spent countless hours by her side learning the value of gathering around great food. Those early experiences sparked an interest that led him to pursue culinary arts throughout high school before continuing his education at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Early in his career, Chef Shawn spent nearly eight years working at a family-owned pub, where he developed his culinary skills across a variety of kitchen roles and eventually served as sous chef. The experience helped shape his leadership style and deepened his appreciation for hospitality, teamwork and creating memorable guest experiences.
He has been part of the Fleming's family for more than five years, but his connection to the brand began before he joined the team. While celebrating a special occasion at Fleming's in Providence, he experienced firsthand the level of hospitality, attention to detail and care that define the brand. The team's commitment to creating a memorable evening left a lasting impression and ultimately inspired him to pursue a career with Fleming's.
Drawing inspiration from both French and Asian cuisines, Chef Shawn values the precision, creativity and craftsmanship that go into every dish. His culinary philosophy centers on quality ingredients, sound technique and executing the fundamentals exceptionally well. He believes that when those elements come together, they create experiences guests remember long after the meal is over.
