About Chef Daniel Nemec

Raised on a farm, Chef Daniel developed an affinity for homegrown food at a young age. He was the youngest of seven kids, and his family is as close-knit as it is big. When it comes to food, Chef Daniel has a uniquely vast bank of knowledge. From farming to fishing to hunting, his childhood spent on the farm taught him a great deal about sustainability practices and homegrown cultivation. Through these different lenses, Chef Daniel was able to gather a holistic appreciation for food as a resource. Now, as a chef at Fleming’s, Chef Daniel also appreciates food as a creative outlet. He finds that working at the Austin location allows him to play with farm-to-table style cooking and looks forward to experimenting with new flavors and ideas, as he continues to surprise his Guests with exciting concepts.
