Fleming's "Tax Day" Cocktail – Available Only on April 15th
I can almost always find an excuse to raise a glass in thanks at the end of a long day. More often than not, it's simply because I love what I do and truly appreciate how each day can bring a wonderful, new experience. However, there are those days that...well, honestly I’m just glad to have them behind me.
To acknowledge “one of those days,” we’re offering a special Tax Day cocktail. No one looks forward to April 15 (well, maybe your accountant does). But perhaps this year Fleming's can help it go down a little bit easier. After your 1040 is signed, sealed and delivered, come in and enjoy a Purely Rich Margarita for just $10.40.
If you can’t make it to Fleming’s, here’s the recipe to make at home.
Marian’s Purely Rich Margarita
1 oz. Cuervo Gold Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. Simple syrup
Shake above ingredients with ice and strain into a
cocktail glass filled with ice. Salt only half of the rim
and garnish with a lime wheel.
Fleming’s “Earth Day” Wine Flight – Available Only on April 22nd
Earth Day...the land. I love tasting “terroir” in wine, whether wet stone, minerality, fennel, mushroom or forest floor. It’s recognizing Pinot Noir from Burgundy, for example; It’s the grape grown in its ideal plot of dirt. Many other factors determine the outcome as well, such as climate and altitude of the vineyards and of course each vintage year is affected by that year’s weather.
