“Sweet Charity”: A Cocktail for a Cause

This October at Fleming’s, you can kick off your evening with a refreshing floral cocktail and help raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our “Sweet Charity” cocktail is available at all Fleming’s locations, every night this month, for $6* on our “5 for $6 ‘til 7” bar menu. It is also available for $9.95** in our main dining room and at the bar after 7 pm.

will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during
the whole month of October.

Our “Sweet Charity” cocktail brings together two delightful apéritifs from France: Lillet Rosé and St-Germain Elderflower. Lillet Rosé is made from a blend of red and white Bordeaux varietals and kissed with a touch of citrus and red berry liqueur. St-Germain Elderflower is distilled from wild elderflower blossoms, gathered by hand during a few short weeks every spring in the fields of France. Mix these two together, add a sparkling shot of soda water and you’ve got a refreshing bouquet.

LLS is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding lifesaving advancements for the treatments and cures of blood cancers. Through the generosity of people like you, the LLS funding of promising research projects has improved the 3% childhood leukemia survival rate to nearly 90% today! And thanks to therapies and treatments funded by LLS, some blood cancers are controlled by a daily pill while others show improvement with ever increasing survival rates. Hodgkin lymphoma patient survival rates have doubled to 86 percent since the 1960s, and survival rate for myeloma patents has more than tripled in the past decade. Years ago such progress would be thought of as impossible. Today blood cancer patients are being saved every day.

Many of our guests and staff are actively involved in the LLS fundraising events in their communities. So we are especially proud to join their efforts by donating 100% of the sales from every “Sweet Charity” cocktail to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during the month of October. Cheers!
