Introducing Forty-Six Diamonds Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley — in Collaboration with HALL Wines
Fleming’s new premium private label wine — Available in limited quantities at all locations
As Director of Wine for Fleming’s, I get to taste a lot of wines from all over the world. Yes, it’s as great as it sounds. But the best part of my job is creating Forty-Six Diamonds, Fleming’s limited-release, handcrafted boutique wine. This is our sixth vintage of Forty-Six Diamonds. I truly love them all, but this may be our best ever.
For this Texas girl, working with super-premium HALL Winery in Napa Valley to produce the Fleming’s Forty-Six Diamonds 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley was as good as it gets. All of the fruit is HALL estate-grown in Napa Valley. 2009 was an exceptional year for Napa and HALL estate vineyards in particular.
Collaborating with HALL Winery president Mike Reynolds and winemakers Steve Leveque and Megan Gunderson to produce this stunning red blend was an amazing experience.
This is a first for HALL Winery. Mike Reynolds told me, "We’re very proud of our long partnership with Fleming’s and are pleased that this is the first private blend that we have ever produced."
HALL’s winemaker Steve Leveque describes the wine: "This velvety Cab blend has rich and opulent aromas of black cherry, spice and toasty oak. The full red fruit palate is vivid and focused and gives way to supple tannins and a long, balanced finish."
I couldn’t have said it better myself. I hope that you’ll try a bottle of Forty-Six Diamonds next time you dine with us. But don’t wait too long. This is a limited-release vintage and allotments are small.
Cheers!
